Love on the Bayou is a children's book written and illustrated by Atlanta artist Corey Barksdale, celebrating Black family life and culture along the bayou through vivid, storybook illustration.
Like Barksdale's other children's books — Grandma and Corey and Affirmations — Love on the Bayou pairs original artwork with a story rooted in family, heritage, and everyday Black life.
