Affirmations is a children's book written and illustrated by Atlanta artist Corey Barksdale, offering uplifting messages for young readers through original artwork celebrating Black culture and identity.
Like Barksdale's other children's books — Love on the Bayou and Grandma and Corey — Affirmations pairs original artwork with a story rooted in family, heritage, and everyday Black life.
