31 Days of Jazz and Atlanta Jazz Festival in May
Popular returning events during 31 Days of Jazz include Dinner

Nightlife. New this year is “A 30 Year Retrospective:
The Atlanta Jazz Festival in
Photographs” at the City Hall East Gallery from
May 3 – 31. The grand finale of 31 Days
of Jazz is the 3-day Atlanta Jazz Festival, the largest free
festival in the country. Held on Memorial Day
weekend at Piedmont Park, 2007 festival headliners include
the Herbie Hancock Quartet on May 26, the
Pete Escovedo Orchestra with Sheila E. on May 27 and the Laws
Family on May 28.

Future Jazz Competition VI
The future of Jazz competition will feature three groups,
each Wednesday, who will perform for a panel of industry and
celebrity judges at the Blue Room. The competition continues
through April 11, with three new artists each week. The winner
will perform at the Festival Kick-off party at Park Tavern
on Friday, May 25 and on the main stage at the Atlanta Jazz
Festival on Monday, May 28, 2007.
Sweet Auburn Spring Fest
Dubbed as the largest street festival in the southeast, SpringFest
includes 10 stages of
entertainment featuring AtlantaÄôs best gospel,
jazz, blues and hip-hop. Events include a
childrenÄôs fantastic fun area, technology
expo and international vendors market. Two festival
favorites are the Atlanta Classic Car Show and the Taste of
Sweet Auburn, featuring the best
